Kathmandu to set up shop in expanded Stockland

ADVENTURE apparel retailer Kathmandu is setting up a store in Stockland.

General manager for business development and sustainability Paul Stern told the Chronicle the store planned to open on July 10 with 10-12 staff.

"We believe Hervey Bay is a great area, it's a growing area from our understanding," Mr Stern said.

"We have a site in Rockhampton and one in Maroochydore so we think this store will fit between those nicely."

"There is both a tourism and mining trade in the area and we're excited to be part of the community."
