Bay police allegedly discover drug lab equipment in car

POLICE have charged a 28-year-old Hervey Bay man after the alleged discovery of drug equipment in his car Tuesday morning.

Officers allegedly found the equipment when they intercepted the car on Boat Harbour Drive about 5.15am.

The 28-year-old man has been charged with one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing equipment used in the manufacture of dangerous drugs.

He was also charged with driving while disqualified and failure to provide a specimen of breath or blood.

The man will appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
