ABOUT 30 bosses from a number of Fraser Coast businesses, groups and governments will spend the night in swags on the Scarness foreshore.

The inaugural Swag-A-Boss sleep out aims to raise awareness for the region's homeless.

More than 100 backpack beds have been donated by those involved to charity We Care 2 and will be distributed to local homeless.

Bosses sleeping out have already raised $3000 from their efforts and hope by morning that figure will have increased.
