UPDATE: Bikie taskforce investigate drive-by shooting

UPDATE: TASKFORCE Maxima has been called to Warwick to aid investigations into last night's drive-by shooting.

The specialist police force was assembled in 2013 to disrupt, dismantle and eliminate criminal motorcycle gangs in Queensland.

Police have revealed four people were inside the home  targeted in a drive-by shooting last night.

Initial investigations indicate about 8pm yesterday a car stopped in front of a Gilbert Crescent residence and fired a number of shots at the house.

A man who lives opposite the house said he heard, "over ten gunshots then a car driving off".

The residents were all uninjured.

The car, believed to be a dark coloured sedan, was last seen headed toward the Cunningham Highway.

12PM: A witness has told of the terrifying moment he heard gunshots on his usually quiet Warwick street.

The man, who lives opposite a house targeted in a drive by shooting last night, said he heard, "over ten gunshots then a car driving off".

"I first heard a couple of shots," he said.

"Then were the rest."

It is believed a handgun was fired at a house in Gilbert Crescent, near Scots PGC college.
