Car towed and fence totalled after roundabout crash

A CAR has crashed after losing control on a roundabout on Boat Harbor Dr and Main St in Pialba.

A Torquay fire station officer said about 1pm the vehicle was believed to have lost control when traveling through the roundabout before crashing into a fence in front of the BP petrol station.

Police, fire and ambulance services were at the scene.

The fire officer said the car had two passengers, one of them a toddler, who were both shaken up and were seen by ambulance officers.

The front bumper of the car was detached from the vehicle and the car was towed from the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
