Threatening dingo pack forces couple into water

QUEENSLAND Parks and Wildlife Service has received a report of a couple being threatened by a dingo pack on New Year's Day at The Oaks, about 1.5km south of Yidney Rocks.

The dingoes forced the couple into water before being scared away.

A QPWS spokesman encouraged people to report any interactions with dingoes after the incident.

"It was reported that seven dingoes were stalking and growling at the couple, and followed them into the water, but left when a passing visitor scared them away," he said.

QPWS said feeding wildlife was a serious offence and penalties may apply.
