Drunk 29yo refuses to leave Melbourne Cup after party

AN intoxicated man refused to leave the Melbourne Cup celebrations at the Beach House after fighting with management.

Police said the 29-year-old fought with staff after he was told to leave due to drunken behaviour.

He took off before police arrived around 6pm Tuesday.

The man may be subject to a banning order.

Later in the night, a 36-year-old became violent and aggressive towards his girlfriend and was arrested after he was found lying on the floor of the Beach House carpark.

The incident happened around 10pm.

Earlier in the day around 5.45pm police were called to Kondari Hotel in Urangan after a man kicked in a glass panel.

Police said he was given a warning for his behaviour the first time and when he left he caused the damage on his way out.
