A TINANA great grandmother is so passionate about the Origin series, she was moved to write a poem.

Winnie Cordie, mother of seven children, grandmother of 20 , and great grandmother of 18 said she loves the Cowboys and the Broncos and the State of Origin Series is a highlight in her calendar. " I just love to see them play, I love a fair game," Mrs Cordie said.

Her favourite players are Johnathan Thurston and Sam Thaiday.

State of Origin

State of Origin Fever, two great states are gripping

While folk by the score gallons of grog will be slipping

And the favorites I believe are those cocky roach Blues

It will send some insane, as to who they should choose

But rubbed with Goanna oil and bounding roo steaks they've eaten,

I dare you to even think, those mighty maroon toads could be beaten.
