POLICE are asking for public assistance to find 60-year-old Owen Charles Geebung who was reported missing by his family.

Mr Geebung was last seen at his home in Torquay Rd, Scarness the week before Christmas in 2015.

His sister reported him missing to Hervey Bay police earlier Monday morning.

Mr Geebung is described as 170cm tall with a solid build, short dark hair which is slightly greying, and is an Indigenous Australian.
