Health Minister won't speculate on the Federal Budget

HEALTH Minister Lawrence Springborg wouldn't be drawn into speculation about Tuesday night's Federal Budget.

Speaking at Hervey Bay Hospital on Tuesday morning, Mr Springborg said Queensland's Health system was strong.

"From my perspective, (I) will be waiting to see what happens in this year's Federal Budget," he said.

"I don't want to speculate on that but what I do know is because of the great steps that have been taken by the Newman Government in rebuilding the Queensland Health system that whatever actually happens in tonight's Federal Budget, we'll be able to make sure we build on that.

"We're in a very good position regardless of what happened in tonight's Federal Budget."
