LEAGUE: Former Gold Coast Titans forward Jai Ingram is returning home after signing for the Hervey Bay Seagulls as their new coach in the Bundaberg Rugby League for next season.

Returning after playing in the Intrust Super Cup for the Wyong Roos last year in New South Wales, Ingram will take over from Tye Ingebrigtsen after he left the club to coach in Cairns.

Despite not playing for the Titans in his only year for the club in 2015, Ingram has plenty of experience in the QLD and NSW Cup's over the past few years with appearances for four clubs.

Expected to play and coach the new recruit has the quick task of getting a squad together that is capable of getting into their third straight BRL grand final.

Ingram, who played for Tweed Heads in the Instrust Super Cup while at the Titans, is familiar with Salter Oval after playing there during their match against the Central Queensland Capras in August last year.

The new coach is expected to share the duty with Joel McCrea but that hasn't officially been announced yet.

More to come.
