PATRICK Murphy's two-storey RV took two years to build from scratch, takes an hour-and-a-half to set up and comes with its own helicopter and matching four-wheel drive.
Mr Murphy has made the RV his home for close to two years and is one of more than 900 RV owners in Maryborough for the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia biannual rally this week.
His bus, dubbed Ultimus Prime, is small compared to those in the US, but still has room for a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, office, tool room and space for his dog.
Mr Murphy moved from the US more than a decade ago and is now using the RV to help boost the Australian tourism profile in his homeland.
The travelling filmmaker and science-fiction writer is set to release a film in coming months named Rally-Ho: See Australia like a Native, featuring interviews collected at the CMCA rally and from caravan parks across Queensland.
