Sweet, it might be a vegiesaurus bone

WHEN avid gardener Stan Clarke and his daughter Dianne Knight were digging up vegies in the garden of their Hervey Bay home, they were shocked at what they uncovered.

"We were out in the garden while Dad was replanting some more vegetables and we decided to dig up the potatoes," Ms Knight said.

"When we dug it up, it came up like a huge big bone. We didn't know what it was - I thought it was a dinosaur bone at first."

It was only after the pair dug around the peculiar object, which is about 30 centimetres long, that they discovered it among a batch of sweet potatoes.

Ms Knight said her father has been gardening for many years and never has he come across something like this.

"We don't know what we're going to do with it but we might think twice before eating it," she said.
