A TIARO woman has been airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a horse.
The woman, aged in her 50s, sustained facial abrasions and a possible head injury during the incident, which happened at a Tiaro property on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was transported by ambulance to a nearby school oval where the Bundaberg RACQ Careflight rescue helicopter landed.
A paramedic assessed and treated the woman's injuries before she was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital.
She was in a stable condition.
