A TINANA woman who lost 64kg has become a national face for Jenny Craig and will be the star of a commercial for the weightloss agency.

Kelly Reid shared her weight loss story with the Fraser Coast Chronicle in November to inspire others in the region - and now she'll be inspiring people around the nation as a weight loss ambassador.

Two years ago Kelly signed up to Jenny Craig. For her the problem wasn't losing weight, but keeping it off.

With the help of her consultant, a new diet and an exercise plan, the weight started dropping off.

Kelly went from weighing 135kg down to 72kg.

Kelly will be part of the weight loss agency's advertising throughout the year, with a behind the scenes glimpse of the day her commercial was shot featured on www.jennycraig.com.au.

With a smile, Kelly holds up an old pair of pants and says she can now fit her entire body into one of the pant legs.

Kelly is also featured on the website's success stories blog.

The blog relates the challenge Kelly faced in losing the weight.

"At my biggest, I would struggle to bend over and tie my shoelaces," she wrote.

"I didn't have a life, I used to sit on the couch and not do anything.

"Being an emotional eater, I would find that whenever I was under stress at home or at work, my instinct was to eat something.

"I realised I had to do something about my weight when a button gave way.

"When it broke off of my cargo pants I went into a store to get the next size up, I frantically looked through every range to find a size larger than 26, but there wasn't one."

With the help of her consultant, a new diet and an exercise plan, the weight started dropping off.

"If I can do it, anyone can do it," Kelly said.
