Museum celebrates 1000th visitor

THE 1000th person to visit the Maryborough Colonial and Military Museum for the month of July was Tricia Waterman from Wishart in Brisbane and did she get a welcome.

“Tricia, with her husband Peter, made a special visit to Maryborough for the weekend to be part of our Ship to Shore monthly tour,” said museum director John Meyers.

Mr Meyers escorted Tricia through the door.

“In the four years that the museum has been open, it is the first time that we have had 1000 people through the door in one month and it happened on the 18th. The numbers were helped quite significantly by the Mary Poppins festival and the Q150 event.”
