Long pins give girls a leg-up

IS the interest in leggy women like Rockhampton's Dahna Martin or celebrities Elle McPherson and Nicole Kidman fading in men's eyes?

IS the interest in leggy women like Rockhampton’s Dahna Martin or celebrities Elle McPherson and Nicole Kidman fading in men’s eyes? A recent survey might say so, but Kurt Howkins doesn’t agree.

He says his girlfriend Dahna’s best feature are her killer pins.

It was that feature, combined with her irresistible smile, which made Kurt fall head over heels in love with her almost four years ago.

New research by a UK university suggests that and they actually prefer them a little less leggy.

Findings claimed men saw tall women as abnormal, while extremely short women surprisingly were seen as unhealthy.

The men seemed to opt for mid-length legs, as in legs that account for half of the overall height.

But Kurt set the record straight last week.

“Men definitely lust for long legs – for sure,” he said with a cheeky smile.

“The blokes that don’t must be average type blokes too.”

Dahna said her long legs had definitely attracted attention from the opposite sex.

“Whenever I wear a short skirt or shorts you do get a lot of looks and comments,” she said.

Kurt and Dahna met by chance in the pub of small town Hay Point, north-west of Sarina along the coast.

Dahna was living there with her parents, but it wasn’t long before the couple moved to Rockhampton and have been inseparable ever since.

I'm a shorty.Just 152cms and I would walk on hot coals to be able to add a mere 10cms to my height. But then again tall men always seem to want to protect us shorties and a 6 foot plus guy will grab my attention much faster than a short man.i used to say that big men don't have to try and be macho and are usually gentle men whilst short men try too hard to be big men.So far I have not been proved wrong.Mind you now I am in my dotage all I can do is admire and sigh.I also grew up in the bygone age where men were gentlemen and women were women and had no need to try to compete with the men.We knew we were superior LOL

...and we're happy to let you think you are (were), sunnyone. Works for everyone.

Good comment, thanks for the laugh.

Don't give up on yourself, eh? There is no age limit - only a mind limit. Although, words like "dotage" will make you sound (and think) 20 or 30 years older than you probably are. Obviously your brain's working just fine.
Think young at heart and MIND and go for it !
