Missing man Noel Clark lived in a John Street house owned by his family before his alleged murder.
MORE than eight months after the alleged murder of Maryborough man Noel Allan Clark, police are yet to find any trace of the 33-year-old’s body.
Detectives are relying on forensic evidence in the case against 30-year-old Aramara man Byron Naylor, one of three people charged with Mr Clark’s murder.
Mr Clark is believed to have been murdered in Maryborough, possibly in his John Street home, on May 25.
He was reported missing by his family two months later.
Naylor did not appear for mention of his charge in the Maryborough Magistrates Court yesterday.
The case was adjourned for committal mention in the court on April 6.
Naylor has been in custody since his arrest in November.
His two co-accused, 30-year-old Maryborough woman Dianna Gay Wright and 41-year-old Graeme Kenneth Wright, are in custody in Brisbane after fronting court for a second time last month.
The Department of Public Prosecutions requested Naylor’s case be transferred to Brisbane but Magistrate John Smith chose to keep court proceedings at Maryborough to be closer to witnesses.
Most of the witnesses lived in the Gympie area, the court heard.
Prosecutor Sergeant Craig Ryan said DNA samples were taken from a car that was seized during investigations into Mr Clark’s alleged murder.
Sgt Ryan could not confirm whether the car from which the samples were taken was Mr Clark’s blue 1994 Ford Falcon.
The prosecution was still awaiting the full results of the analysis, Sgt Ryan said.
Mr Clark was last seen on Ellena Street, Maryborough, on May 25.
His bank account was not touched following that date, nor did Mr Clark contact his family.
