A MAN being prosecuted for feeding dingoes on Fraser Island failed to show up for court yesterday.
Adam Troy Randall has been charged by the Department of Environment and Resource Management.
The Rainbow Beach man faces four charges of feeding a dingo and one charge of interfering with a dingo.
The offences were alleged to have happened between February 2008 and May 2009.
Maryborough lawyer Jim Fairlie appeared in the Maryborough Magistrates Court yesterday, acting for DERM.
Mr Fairlie said the department requested Randall’s case be set for a separate court date to that of Rainbow Beach photographer Jennifer Parkhurst, who faces more than 40 charges in relation to the dingoes. She is due to appear in the same court on March 24.
Both were charged after DERM officers raided Ms Parkhurst’s home in August last year.
Mr Fairlie indicated to the magistrate the department may review the charges against Randall depending on his co-operation with investigators.
Randall’s case was adjourned for mention in the court on April 21.
