FRASER Coast families and couples looking for a quick getaway need look no further than Fraser Island, with the Kingfisher Bay Resort offering new locals-only deals.

From now until March 31, people living in the Fraser Coast can book in holidays and day-trips at the resort during the off-peak season for a discounted price.

Kingfisher Bay Resort communications manager Jodi Clark said the offer through the Staycation program was a fantastic opportunity for people to experience the beautiful scenery right on their doorstep.

"The offers include a discounted $99-per-room rate for people wanting to visit the island before the end of March," Ms Clark said.

"It's a standard hotel room too, which can sleep up to three people.

The exclusive Staycation discounts for "locals" include a 15% reduction off of all Fraser Island Tours with Fraser Explorer Tours, discounted barge specials, reduced room rates and multiple booking discounts.
