Chippie had 15 beers and cans of rum before driving 4WD

A CHIPPIE who had 15 drinks before getting behind the wheel of his four-wheel-drive was sentenced in Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday.

Brent Jason Valler pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving after police intercepted him at Longreach at 8.20pm on August 1.

The 27-year-old told police he drank 15 Great Northern beers and cans of rum before recording a blood alcohol content of 0.133%.

Valler was fined $750 and disqualified from driving for five months.
