4WD runs off rock wall

A 35-YEAR-old Hervey Bay man and two dogs were lucky to escape after their 4WD ran off the rock wall and into the ocean at Urangan Harbour about 6pm yesterday.

A Hervey Bay Police spokesman said the man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Both dogs appeared unhurt.

The submerged 4WD was not visible from the surface after the accident, which happened at high tide about 100 metres from the boom gate entry to the rock wall.
