Man gets probation after 7 cannabis plants found
A MAN found with seven marijuana plants and more than 320g of ground-up cannabis leaves has been sentenced to 18 months probation.
Shane Raymond Eldridge, 45, pleaded guilty in Maryborough Magistrates Court to two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Kathryn Stagoll said police found the plants during a search of Eldridge's home.
Defence lawyer Travis George said Eldridge used cannabis in order to help control his schizophrenia.
