Coolum Resort set to host PUP campaign launch

HORDES of Palmer United Party faithful are to swamp Palmer Coolum Resort on the Sunshine Coast later this month, as leader Clive Palmer uses his own resort to launch the party's electoral campaign.

In a press conference today, the billionaire said he would bring candidates, their families and Palmer United Party members to the resort on Sunday, August 25.

A party spokesman suggested it would be more than 300 including 150 candidates fighting for seats in the House of Representatives, aspiring senators, their families and others.
