A nut bash to remember

IT WILL be a Bauple Nut Bash to remember this year, with a variety of stalls, rides, games and the return of the ever-popular tug of war.

"It's going to be fantastic," organiser Debbie Brischke said.

The event will be held today from 2 to 11pm at Bauple Recreation Ground.

Ms Brischke said there would be plenty of activities for the kids as well as a great fireworks display and laser display for people of all ages to enjoy.

The tug of war had also returned to the event after people protested its absence last year.

The prize for the winning tug of war team will be $100 and teams can have up to five members.

Ms Brischke said another highlight of the event would be the display of antique cars, machinery and bikes.

Fraser Coast performer Matt Phillips will also return to the Bauple Nut Bash this year.

"He was well-received last year," Ms Brischke said.

There will also be food, drinks and a bar.

Entry is free.
