Tasman Venture whale watching cruise listed as the best

A WHALE watching cruise aboard Tasman Venture has been listed as the number one experience on offer in Hervey Bay.

Rated by one of Australia and New Zealand's largest youth online travel agents, Experience Oz, has released a list of popular experiences on offer in our region.

A whale watching tour on board Tasman Venture was number one on the list, edging out a visit to Fraser Island and Hervey Bay Skydiving.

Tasman Venture Cruises marketing manager Kate Ernst was delighted with the accolade from the reputable agent.

"The youth sector is a key target market for Tasman Venture and it is a market we actively pursue for both our whale watching tours, and particularly for our remote Fraser Island tour," she said.

"To be acknowledged in this way by an industry leader is a real feather in our cap."

Ms Ernst said their remote Fraser Island tour had been popular this season, with a noticeable increase in international visitors in comparison to previous years.

And despite the whale watching season being months away, bookings for the upcoming season are already performing well.
