Drink driver caught without licence

A YOUNG man without a licence was caught by police speeding and drunk behind the wheel in Urangan in the early hours of this morning.

A police spokesman reported the 21-year-old was pulled over on Elizabeth St at 2.21am and has been charged for all three offences.

The 22-year-old male passenger in the car was also charged over the incident, as police found he was the owner of the vehicle.

He has been charged with permitting the unlicensed driver to operate his vehicle.

Both men have been given notices to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court.
