About 50ha of bushland burnt at Burrum Heads

THREE Rural Fire Service Queensland crews are at the scene at a bushfire burning in forestry land near Rosebay Dr in Burrum Heads.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services representative said the fire broke out about 12.45pm and has burnt about 50 acres of bushland.

"There is no threat to property, however, residents will be affected by smoke in the area and are asked to close windows and doors," the representative said.

"Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to conditions."
