Clark accused to appear in court

COMMITTAL proceedings for three people accused of murdering Maryborough man Noel Allan Clark will begin in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Monday.

One week has been set aside for the hearing, with dozens of witnesses expected to be cross-examined.

Mr Clark's body has never been found but police believe he was murdered, possibly in his John Street home, around May 25 last year. He had no contact with family or friends and did not access his bank account after that date.

Graeme Kenneth Wright and Dianna Gay Wright were charged with his murder in October 2009. Dianna Wright was also charged with interfering with a corpse.

Aramara man Byron Naylor was charged with Clark's murder in November 2009.

All three remain in custody.

Extra security is expected to be employed at the courthouse during proceedings, and six police officers will keep watch over the defendants.
