Across The Courts tips off for 2018
WELL, it's that time of the year again when netball fever begins across the state with hundreds of players flocking to sign on to their favourite club throughout the region.
The PCYC sports expo has proven to be a very successful means of attracting new families to the sport of netball, with many first-time registrations received by all clubs at the Hervey Bay Netball sign on day over the weekend.
Maryborough's sports expo also took place over the weekend, and it is hoped that those same successes were experienced at their sign-on evening on Wednesday at the Maryborough courts.
A jumping castle and other activities were featured at the sign-on to entertain the kids while the parents carry out the business of registrations.
It's not too late to join as all registrations in 2018 will be online, so if you were unable to attend the designated days you can register with your respective clubs or associations via their websites and Facebook pages. Netball is an all-inclusive sport that begins from as young as five starting with the Suncorp Net-Set-Go Program.
It is a fantastic way for girls and boys aged from five to 10 years old to have fun with their friends, keep active and learn the basic skills of netball in a safe and social environment.
Netball provides opportunities for all junior and senior players to participate on both socially and competitively.
Stay tuned for updates on all that is happening in Netball across the courts.
Across The Courts will be published every Thursday.
