'Activist' claims he was 'kidnapped' by police over pin code

A SELF-DESCRIBED "peaceful activist" who is in a relationship with the ex-girlfriend of a slain bikie has claimed he was "kidnapped by authorities" for allegedly failing to give police access to electronic devices.

Brenden John Casey was charged with contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically and possessing property suspected of having been used in the commission of a drug offence on October 25.

He was granted Supreme Court bail on November 2.

Mr Casey appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court yesterday where the court heard he would be pleading not guilty to the charges.

His girlfriend Karlee Ironside, who is the ex-girlfriend of fatally stabbed Bandidos associate Max Waller, supported him from the public gallery.

A hearing date will be determined on February 7.

In a lengthy Facebook post published by one of Mr Casey's associates following his arrest, claims were made he was "kidnapped by authorities" and "unlawfully imprisoned by corrupt police".

Eight days before his arrest, Mr Casey posted a video of two police officers who were looking for a man Gabriel at a gated property.

Mr Casey told them he didn't know the man and proceeded to film the officers, telling the camera they had "sworn an oath to a foreign dictator".

"These guys right here behind me operate under a false name in order to maintain a massive fraud against the people of this country."

The video has been viewed more than 48,000 times.
