After 235 votes, majority want Chris Foley to run again

OUR readers have voted and 68% want former MP Chris Foley to run again for the seat of Maryborough in the upcoming State election.

A total of 235 votes were cast in the online poll which was open for a week until Wednesday, April 16.

The pastor defeated Liberal candidate Anne Maddern at the 2009 State Election by about 7000 votes, but couldn't hold her off in 2012, losing by just 170 votes.

Last week, Mr Foley said he felt Maryborough was being left behind and no one was really fighting for it but he hadn't made a decision about standing again.
