Man suffers multiple injuries in parachute crash

UPDATE: The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a Brisbane man in his 20's from the scene of a parachute accident at Toogoolawah this morning.

The patient suffered suspected spinal and head injuries after a hard landing on both feet  in the vicinity of the Brisbane Valley Highway at 10.30am. He is also suspected to have broken his right femur.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were first on the scene to administer treatment.

The Toowoomba-based rescue crew were sent to the accident at 10:59am.

The patient was airlifted in a serious but stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
