Alleged drink-driver caught by police the morning after

A 23-YEAR-old male who should have slept in after a night out, instead got behind the wheel and was subsequently charged with drink-driving.

A police spokesman said the man told officers that he had been out drinking before getting to bed about 4.30am.

He was pulled over by officers just four hours later at 8.30am and found to have a BAC of 0.096.

The police spokesman said the incident should serve as a reminder to others that the effects of alcohol take time to wear off and people should consider that fact before deciding to drive.
