Almost 80% of online voters want to de-amalgamate

ALMOST 300 votes have been cast in the Chronicle's online poll about de-amalgamation and a whopping 79% want Maryborough to split from the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Readers can still get their last-minute votes in before the poll closes at noon on Thursday.

The poll was started on July 31 after a Maryborough resident set up a petition to de-amalgamate the council.

Should Fraser Coast Regional Council de-amalgamate?

This poll ended on 14 August 2014.

Yes - 79%

No - 20%
