Antigua man who showed cops his genitals fined $200

PULLING down his shorts and underwear to flash his genitals at police cost John Robert Fleming a $200 fine when he appeared before Maryborough Magistrates Court.

The 38-year-old Antigua man, who had no previous criminal history, pleaded guilty to one charge of public exposure.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Michael Quirk said the incident happened earlier this month when police were called out to a disturbance at a hotel room in Walker St.

Police arrived about 3pm and conducted a weapons search.

Standing in the car park, Fleming pulled down his shorts and then his underwear all the way to his ankles, revealing his genitals to police, Sgt Quirk said.

Fleming then pulled his underwear up, but left his shorts down before pulling his underwear down for a second time and revealing his genitals again.

Magistrate Gary Finger told Fleming to make sure he covered himself next time.
