Letters: ANZ’s ATM just a hole in the wall
I NOTE that the ANZ Bank last week apologised to customers for not providing the correct financial advice.
Maybe they will also find time to apologise to customers for lack of an ATM at Station Square for nearly six months.
They have not even had the courtesy to put signage on the sheet of plywood that covers the ATM hole in the wall.
There is still an ANZ sign on the awning of Station Square. I assume at some stage they are intending to put at ATM back in the position.
Locals would know there is another ATM down Adelaide St but non-locals are given no information by ANZ to advise of other locations.
This issue will be compounded shortly when there will be limited parking availability in Adelaide St while the footpath beautification program is being completed.
I have phoned ANZ on several occasions to inquire if it is being repaired, replaced or removed but staff tell me they have no knowledge about it.
Surely someone at ANZ must be responsible and able to advise their customers.
Finally just a tip... always check the money you get from ATM machines.
Their Adelaide St ATM gave me 17 x $50 notes and 3 x $20 last December and it should have been 20 x $50 notes.
