Aramara accused murderer's home

THE third person to be arrested for the murder of missing Maryborough man Noel Allan Clark is from Aramara – a small township halfway between Maryborough and Biggenden.

Byron Naylor, 30, appeared in the Gympie Magistrates Court yesterday. He was formally charged with the murder of Mr Clark, 33, on May 25 in Maryborough.

He was remanded in custody to reappear on December 14.

Meanwhile, police were yesterday successful in organising the extradition of a Maryborough woman arrested in NSW last week.

The 30-year-old appeared in the Armidale Magistrates Court yesterday and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today where she is expected to be formally charged with murder and interfering with a corpse.

Graeme Kenneth Wright, 41, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court last Friday and was remanded in custody to January 18. Wright, of no fixed address, was arrested last week in Warwick where he was believed to have been hiding out since the murder.

The search continued for Mr Clark’s body yesterday. North Coast Police Superintendent David Drinnen said detectives were scouring the Wide Bay region.

Mr Clark was last seen at the old Centrelink office on Ellena Street in Maryborough on May 25.

He was not reported missing until two months after.
