Fitness boot camp taking over our parks, says ratepayer

I AM amazed with the number of fitness classes being run in our public parks.

I recently arranged to meet some friends for a BBQ at the park by Wharf Marina at Mooloolaba.

On arrival at 7pm we set up in a rotunda close to a BBQ area.

Shortly after arriving a group of about 25 people arrived and started under the direction of a 'teacher' to run, shout and generally take over the area for a fitness class.

What do you think about fitness classes in parks?

This poll ended on 11 April 2014.

This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.

Thumping music was played and the teacher continually shouted 'three more reps' and 'well done guys'.

Is this allowed? Should this be allowed ?

These are public places payed for by rate payers and being used by a business.

Good on you for exercising but not so that it effects others peaceful enjoyment.
