Cops make arrest after masked gunman robs servo
THE HUNT for the masked gunman has ended, with Coast police announcing this afternoon that they have made an arrest for the brutal armed robbery of a servo on Monday.
On Monday morning at 2am, a masked gunman entered the petrol station on Steve Irwin Way armed and threatened the attendant before fleeing with a sum of money in a dark coloured car.
Shocking CCTV footage shows the man storming the service station, brandishing a gun and a bag.
A 22-year-old Wamuran man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and stealing and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court this afternoon.
