Arrow S4E05: Haunted preview
*potential spoilers lie ahead if you haven't seen up to season four episode four*
PREVIEW: Arguably the most-anticipated episode of the season is finally here.
Ever since NBC cancelled fellow DC Comics property-turned TV show Constantine after its sole 13-episode season, fans have clamoured to see Matt Ryan reprise his role as the occult detective.
Cries for a crossover episode were widespread before the cancellation, though the shows being on different networks was always a substantial roadblock to its occurrence.
The cancellation proved to be a blessing in disguise, with Constantine now free to appear on Arrow, The Flash, and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow.
So far he is only playing a role in Arrow's "Haunted", which should see Constantine utilise his skills to restore the formerly-deceased Sara Lance's (Caity Lotz) soul.
Thea Queen (Willa Holland) and Laurel Lance (Kate Cassidy) utilised the Lazarus Pit at Nanda Parbat to revive the fallen Sara, though as is the case with the Pit what came out was not the Sara they remembered.
Snippets of Haunted suggest Constantine and Oliver Queen/Arrow (Stephen Amell) previously knew each other, and it is time for our titular hero to call in a favour.
Speaking of Oliver Queen, he announced his intention to run for mayor last week. That could make him a target for Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and H.I.V.E, who have previously "persuaded" others from not running.
A few more things:
- Thea looks like she's in trouble in that preview shot. How did she end up there?
- Damien Darhk will not go away quietly. What has he got planned next?
- Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) appeared to be working with Darhk, and last week was asked by Oliver to continue as a spy. Will he be found out?
- Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) may have some more information regarding Ray Palmer's (Brandon Routh) disappearance/death thanks to the terrific Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum). What will she learn?
