Arrow S4E09: Dark Waters review

*spoilers ahead if you haven't seen season four episode nine*

REVIEW: It probably was not a good idea to call out Damien Darhk on national television

Darhk (Neal McDonough) is the leader of HIVE, a secret organisation that has terrorised Star City.

He wields untold, supernatural power, but it was a bullet that may have won him the battle with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

After proposing to Felicityy (Emily Bett Ricjards), Queen's limo was surrounded and attacked by Darhk's forces. Queen was able to drive the limo away from the area, and when he stopped discovered Felicity's lifeless body.

After Queen revealed Darhk's identity at a media call earlier in the day, the HIVE leader made it his mission to bring Queen down - which he did at Queen's holiday party.

The abduction of Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) sent Queen into action, and in the process gave us the most intense Green Arrow we've seen so far.

Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Black Canary's (Laurel Lance, played by Katie Cassidy), well-timed arrival saved them moments from death.

At the start of the season a teaser was shown of Queen crying at a tombstone. Does the grave belong to Felicity, or is this another swerve?

Arrow airs Thursdays at 6.30pm (AEST) on Fox 8 (Channel 108).
