Bail denied for stabbing accused

A WOMAN who allegedly stabbed two people and assaulted two police officers at the Central Hotel faced court in tears today.

Kerry Lee Glasheen, 49, will remain in custody after Magistrate John Smith denied bail in Maryborough Magistrates Court.

Ms Glasheen was charged with two counts of unlawful wounding, two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of obstructing police after the incident at the Adelaide St hotel on Thursday night.

A 50-year-old man received stab wounds to the abdomen and a 46-year-old woman received wounds to the upper arm.

Both were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital on Thursday night after police were called to the scene at about 10:30pm.

The man was reported to be in a stable condition yesterday.

"It is clear you are in a situation where there is an unacceptable risk of re-offending," Mag Smith told Ms Glasheen.

Ms Glasheen will appear again in Maryborough Magistrates Court on October 8.
