Bashed man stable but likely to be transferred to Brisbane

A MAN who was bashed outside a Hervey Bay nightclub remains in a stable condition in Hervey Bay Hospital.

Detective Senior Constable Brett Everest said he had interviewed the victim, but investigations were continuing into the circumstances of the assault, which happened outside of Rumaz nightclub at 12.01am on Sunday.

Det Snr Const Everest said the man's injuries had been confirmed as being a broken nose, a fracture to the front of the skull, including the eye socket, and a broken jaw.

He said it was likely the 35-year-old man would be transferred to Brisbane for treatment for his broken jaw.
