Hervey Bay investment group office wins national award

ONLY weeks after opening a second office in Bundaberg, investment group Elston Partners' Hervey Bay team has won the national Branch of the Year.

The Elston Partners team beat eight other branches from across Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory to win the award at a gala ceremony on the Gold Coast.

Manager Donna Picton said a focus on personal relationships with clients not only helped to win the award, but helped the business to continue to grow through years of poor market conditions.

Ms Picton said the poor market and economic conditions for the past five years had not been ideal for the industry.

She said it was extremely rewarding for the Hervey Bay team to grow the business substantially and even open a fully staffed office in Bundaberg earlier this month.

The new office also meant four new jobs across both offices, which service clients from the Sunshine Coast to Gladstone.

"We do punch above our weight," wealth adviser Damon Bensein said.

Wealth adviser Russell Geldard also won Risk Champion on the night and assistant Dee Bradbury won Support Staff of the Year.
