Best-seller Nick Earls to hold workshop in Hervey Bay

BEST-SELLING Brisbane-based author Nick Earls will be imparting tips to the region's budding writers at the Home Grown Writers Workshop at the Hervey Bay Library on Sunday.

The Zig Zag Street author will be at the library from 1.15pm.

His workshop will explore how to create relatable characters within a story and how to use those characters to evolve a story.

Mr Earls' books are known for their everyday characters and creative use of Brisbane, which often adds to the charm of his work.

Spaces for the workshop are limited.
