Best super sedans set for M'boro next week
SPEEDWAY: The state's 20 best super sedan drivers will hit Hi-Tec Oils Speedway this week-end ahead of the blockbuster meet at Maryborough.
Queensland champion Matt Pascoe will lead the pack, which includes former state champion Darren Kane, and a host of other high-profile drivers set for the Shultz Sedan Spectacular.
The majority of drivers will race at Maryborough Speedway next week, when the venue hosts the third round of the Queensland Series, the Eddie Hughes Memorial. Local drivers Sam Grundy and Shaw brothers Craig and Gordon are expected to be among those on the starting line next week, their last hit-out before the state titles at Bundaberg.
Production sedans will contest the Dean Fraser Memorial, and among the strong field are several local drivers vying for form and a place on the podium at Toowoomba.
Joel Berkley and Josh Arthur will be among the 28-strong field, while 18 drivers, including Queensland champ-ion Robert Trapp, will contest the street stocks.
The October 27 meet at Maryborough Speedway will include the first round of the junior sedan series, street stocks, modlites, formula 500s and national fours.
