Boat missing from the side of Bruce Highway

POLICE are seeking public assistance to locate a boat missing from the side of the highway.

On Saturday December 5 the owner of a 5.1M Caribbean Crestcu Boat with Queensland registration CZ470Q has left the boat on its Dunbier R17 boat trailer in the emergency stopping lane of the Northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway near the Uhlmann Road overpass at Burpengary after the trailer suffered a mechanical failure.

The boat is described as a half cabin with a light brown cover shade over the steering wheel section.

The trailer did not have any registration plates displayed as the owner had taken these with him.

Sometime between 8.00am on Monday December 7 and 1.15pm that same day someone has taken the boat and the trailer from that location.

Police are appealing to any person who may have information regarding the taking of the boat from this location or its current whereabouts and are urged to contact Burpengary Police Station on 34912444 and Quote QP1501806980 in reference.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
