UPDATE 6AM: A MAN ARMED with a gun robbed a Gracemere pizza store overnight. 

Queensland Police swarmed on Dominos Pizza at Middle Rd about 8.30pm after the man entered the business, threatened a male staff member and demanded cash. 

The armed man, who was wearing gloves and a black mask covering his face, stole a sum of money and left the premises on foot. 

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 170cm tall, with a slim build and was wearing black clothing including a hoodie.

Police searching Gracemere streets extensively overnight with more than seven police crews patrolling and searching local venues. 

Investigations are continuing.

BREAKING: 9.20pm: Police are searching for a bandit who held up Domino's Pizza in Gracemere tonight.

At least seven police cars converged on the area after the robbery was reported about 9pm.

The store would have been having a busy night due to the State of Origin match.

There are no details on the weapon that may have been used.
