Truck and mini van collide on Bruce Hwy; seven injured

UPDATE 3.39pm:  The Bruce Hwy has just reopened after a collision between a truck and mini van at Bloomsbury.

UPDATE: A Queensland Health spokeswoman confirmed seven patients (four women and three men) are being treated in Proserpine Hospital Emergency Department.

EARLIER: Seven people have been rushed to hospital after a two vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy

QAS said a truck and mini van crashed 25kms north of Calen at Bloomsbury.

They transported the seven patients all in their 60s to Proserpine Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Department of Transport and Main Roads said one lane of traffic is closed due to the crash.

The Bruce Highway is under traffic control due to the crash.
